Doug is the managing partner of the Diffie Retail Team at Marcus & Millichap’s Austin office. As a senior associate member of Marcus & Millichap’s Net Leased Properties Group (“NLPG”) and National Retail Group (“NRG”), Doug has built a team that specializes in the acquisition and disposition of single-tenant net-leased properties. While the Diffie Retail Team are licensed in Texas, Doug’s knowledge of the single-tenant net-leased marketplace extends nationwide. He and his team have worked with clients in thirty-seven states and have evaluated properties occupied by over 150 distinct tenants.
Doug attended The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, where he earned a degree in Government. Following graduation from William and Mary, he earned his Juris Doctorate at the University of Richmond, where he served as the managing editor for the Journal of Global Law and Business as well as an executive board member on the Client Counseling and Negotiation Board.
Prior to joining the Firm in 2015, Douglas clerked for two Judges on the Norfolk Circuit Court in Norfolk, Virginia and next practiced corporate real estate law for several years at a boutique law firm outside of Washington, DC. As a result of his legal background and practical legal experience, Doug brings a unique and powerful skill set to the real estate investment world. He is knowledgeable in the intricacies of the federal tax code, including the 1031 exchange, has handled a wide range of land use and planning matters and is well-versed in the art of contract negotiation.

Dan Perrine is a net-leased and multi-tenant retail specialist with Diffie Retail Team at Marcus & Millichap in Austin, Texas. Dan has represented clients ranging from small mom-and-pop investors to professional real estate groups and seasoned franchisees, but his goal always remains the same—to provide the highest level of service to his clients with the purpose of fostering long-lasting relationships.
Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Mr. Perrine was a residential real estate agent in a highly competitive urban market in Northern New Jersey. In addition to his work in real estate, Dan also worked for a boutique actuarial firm and was a head assistant coach at a Division III baseball program in New Jersey.
Mr. Perrine attended Rutgers University where he was a member of the Division I Baseball program for the Scarlet Knights. Aside from his passion for real estate, Dan enjoys playing multiple instruments, golf, baseball, and spending time with friends and family.

An expert in cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with clients and customers, Davy is an outside-the-box thinker with a tremendous desire to apply his knowledge to the acquisition and disposition of investment real estate.
A results-driven, tenured sales professional, Davy has over fifteen years of diverse industry experience in account management, inside and outside sales process, customer service, marketing, and sales management.
Davy is from South Carolina and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he received degrees in Business Management and English, minoring in Psychology. A lover of live music, Davy also enjoys all outdoor activities including long distance ultra-light hiking and fishing.

Jake Fahner specializes in single-tenant net-lease acquisition and disposition with the Diffie Retail Team at Marcus & Millichap in Austin, Texas. As a motivated self-starter and natural leader, Jake applies his growth-driven business approach to every aspect of portfolio management, helping his clients feel confident in their long-term investment success.
Jake earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California, where he was a member and speaker in the Financial Independence Club and an associate member of the prestigious Entrepreneurship Club. A native of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Jake gained lifelong skills in business and leadership at an early age while contributing to the operation of his family’s berry farm. Additionally, Jake is a Spanish-speaker with nearly a decade of team management experience. His industriousness and enthusiasm for entrepreneurship make him a thorough and well-informed real estate advisor.

Jack Cosca is a recent graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, where he earned a degree in Political Economy with a concentration in Development. Jack’s aptitude for analysis and problem solving earned him a prestigious internship at Jones Lang LaSalle, where he gained his first valuable experience in commercial real estate. The opportunity to shadow seasoned brokers as an intern put Jack ahead of the curve for new agents, and he begins his own career with a solid understanding of the value of investment strategy and client relationships.
Jack joined Diffie Retail Team in the summer of 2020. His business acumen and attention to detail make him a highly effective investment advisor. His dedication to building long-term client relationships makes him a natural fit with our team. He highly values his clients’ time and listens attentively to efficiently maximize returns on their holdings.
Prior to graduating, Jack pitched for the UC Berkeley baseball team, which taught him valuable time management and interpersonal skills. He brings the same ambition to succeed and ability to perform under pressure to his business. A native of Sacramento, California, Jack loves spending time in the great outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and skiing.
Cooper Hampton is an investment sales specialist at Marcus and Millichap with a focus on the acquisitions and dispositions of single-tenant net-leased retail properties nationwide. His interpersonal communication skills help him to create strong and lasting relationships with every one of his clients. As a natural-born leader, Cooper takes advantage of every opportunity that comes his way, often going out of his way to make sure his clients get exactly what they ask for.
Cooper was born and raised in Austin, Texas and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas A&M University. While attending A&M, Cooper entered the real estate industry, managing and leasing residential properties in College Station, however, he soon realized commercial real estate was a better fit for him. He started working with Marcus & Millichap as a Research Analyst in 2020, where he learned in depth knowledge of the retail market, allowing him to identify optimal properties for specific investor needs. He quickly progressed into an Associate role with the Diffie Retail Team through his hard work and dedication to achieving success.
Cooper is driven by competition from years of playing sports and growing up with his older brother and sister. Having a tight-knit family gave him an appreciation for relationships. He enjoys playing basketball and golf in his free time and spending time on the lake with his family and friends.
Haley joined the Diffie Retail Team in 2021 as its marketing and agent assistant. As the team’s primary point of contact within the firm, she facilitates professional relationships and client communication. For each property her team brings to market, Haley researches the site details, communicates with clients to understand their vision, designs custom offering memoranda, and launches e-mail and online marketing campaigns. She also reviews contracts, manages and analyzes data, coordinates escrow, and keeps the team on track.
New to Austin, Haley grew up in Lancaster, Massachusetts. She attended High Point University in High Point, North Carolina where she received both a B.A. in Strategic Communication in 2020 and an M.A. in Communication and Business Leadership in 2021. She was a member of the Division 1 Track and Field team during her years at HPU and helped lead the team to a Big South Championship title in 2019. She enjoys travelling with her family and exploring new places.
